Why do you need an access control system?



Physical access control can take a number of forms, but the basic idea is to create barriers to prevent unauthorized people from entering a physical space. In other words, physical access control ensures that only those who are allowed to enter an area can enter it.

Access Control Systems are installed in order to protect businesses and property from vandalism, theft, and trespassing, and are especially useful in facilities that require higher levels of security and protection. Unlike physical barriers like retaining walls, fences or strategic landscaping, physical access control procedures control who, how and when a person can gain entry.

A typical access control system includes:

  • Entrance/Exit Access Point door (electric lock)
  • Personal Credentials identification (Card or key fob)
  • Identification readers (RFID, Biometric, License plate)
  • Control Panel (Smart CPU that manages local data and access)
  • Access Control Server (Software that manages the overall system)


Access Control System components



You need a solid access control system to help you coordinate the flow of traffic through your building, report potential security breaches, and log traffic for later review.


These are the different parts of an access control system:

(9) The server – stores and manages the list of approved credentials issued to individuals Credentials – can be virtually anything that stores data, such as PIN codes, key cards, key fobs, fingerprints, even smartphones. (2) The reader – takes the scanned credentials and converts the data into a (1) Control panel – compares the ID to the whitelist on the server and sends the signal to the (3) door lock to open if the credentials match.

The managing software installed in the server (9) can be accessed from different remote* clients (10) from the web.

Everything is connected to a computer network (8) and it can be integrated with other components such as CCTV cameras(7) to view from the software a certain event in real-time.

Over Door Module



Our first choice for new installation is the PoE powered door controllers are the pinnacle of edge style access control. These controllers dramatically reduce installation and labour costs through its above the door design, integrated motion sensor, on-board LCD screen with diagnostics and technician friendly design.



Classic Access Panel



The access controller is our take on the traditional style door controller with modern twists. It is compact, powerful and cost-effective. Designed to be easily scalable and ideal for retrofits. DC powered with built-in battery backup/charging. Available in two to eight door configurations.



Access Control Reader



This platform is compatible with a wide variety of readers and peripherals.

  • Mullion/Single Gang Combo Proximity Reader.
  • Single Gang Combination keypad and Proximity Reader.
  • Long-range UHF receiver. 100’ Range (used with remote transmitters)
  • 13.56 Mhz Smartcard NFC Bluetooth Reader


Access Credentials



We offer a variety of credentials for access control such as:

The access managing software is an innovative Access Control System that has a slick web based software utilizing the newest Microsoft Technologies to its all new patented hardware using the latest chipsets for increased reliability and performance.



ACCESS CONTROL ENGINE



  • High performance engine allows simultaneous action executions and scalability limited only by the hardware it’s running on.
  • Intuitive, easy to use action plan editor allows you to create complex action plans in minutes.
  • Mix and match over 40 customizable actions to create complex branching action plans to meet your business needs. Including HTTP requests, door overrides, SMS messaging and email actions.
  • Highly flexible action plans allow for variables and arithmetic operations with little programming or scripting knowledge required.
  • Integration with LDAP providers such as Active Directory (AD).
  • Import and automatically synchronize AD users based on Security Group membership. Give permissions to Doors/Floors based on Security Group membership.
  • Automatically revoke access to Doors/Floors when AD users are disabled or expired.
  • Import user credentials directly from AD User Attribute Fields.




Video Integration



  • Integration with leading VMS systems: Digital Watchdog, exacqVision, Milestone, Hikvision and Vicon.
  • Supports Pan-tilt-zoom(PTZ) controls including setting and recalling presets.
  • Associate Doors and Elevators to Cameras to view historical playback from reports.
  • Configurable inline camera view that switches between cameras based on configurable events.


Flexibility


Using a variety of the latest web technologies, we are able to integrate with the leading web-enabled VMSes on the market. The Camera Matrix allows you to view multiple cameras from different VMSes simultaneously on the same page. With our Scripting Engine, we can push events back to the VMS or email camera snapshots when configured events occur when supported by VMS.



ACtive maps AND CUSTOM FEATURES



Active Maps software module allow the integrator or client to import a blueprint of their building then drag and drop areas, doors, inputs, outputs or cameras etc. This interface has active meaning that if a door is forced open it will change status on our maps page.

We also give users the ability to override/resume doors, run Action Plans and even view cameras associated with doors. You can keep track of all users by seeing what location they are in.

The Access Control Managing Software supports unlimited doors, users, time zones, access groups and administrators.

Our powerful partitioning system allows you to easily manage multiple buildings from one deployment.

Integrators and their clients enjoy our rule based notification filtering and alert management. Rules can be used to style notifications with colours, pictures and even sounds



Mobile accessibility



The smart managing system supports mobile apps for both Android and iOS. Unlock a door in three taps, view door transaction history, change door time zones, and execute action plans. It also features a responsive web interface allowing you to fully manage the system from any web browser - be it a tablet, phone or PC.
